As per my other thread I'm looking at SAN vendors. Our main file server has around 8tb on it right now, spread across multiple "thick" LUNs of around 2tb each.
Assuming we're going to be running Windows 2008 R2, what are people's opinions on provisioning storage to a file server as multiple smaller LUNs or fewer larger LUNs? For example if the SAN supports it why would you allocate 5x2tb LUNs instead of a single 10tb thin LUN? -- MIRA Ltd Watling Street, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, CV10 0TU, England Registered in England and Wales No. 402570 VAT Registration GB 114 5409 96 The contents of this e-mail are confidential and are solely for the use of the intended recipient.
