Then *buy* the 6 cylinder car.

Me, I'd like the option to go to my CFO and give him the option of:

a)  paying $2K to boost performance on a server which has reached 80% cpu
utilization
b)  buy a new server for $10K and replace or re-purpose the over utilized
server

Think of this like a burstable T1 circuit.  Capacity/Capability on demand.
 Sounds like a feature to me.
