We don't back up workstations. Period. Full Stop. End Of Story.

So, I've written a script with robocopy in it, and let the devs
modifiy it to sync their machines as they wish, backing the
directories they specify to their home directories on the file server,
via a scheduled task. They can schedule it as often or as rarely as
they like. They do have to remember to update the credentials every 90
days...

And, if a workstation is on my production network, it has an AV client
on it. They will not remove or disable it. Period. Full Stop. End Of
Story.

I also get root/administrator on their machines, if they are on the
production network.
