It's basically a configuration thing within the software. If you're logged in as User A on the host machine, when you launch the app in XP Mode you see different options than if you're logged in as User B.
It's not really a performance issue-the application works regardless of who you're logged into the host machine as. But as you look at certain configuration settings in the app, they're different depending on what user is logged into the host.
