One word...... Computrace. If you only have a couple of devices you want to
track, then go with their LoJack product. If you need to protect many
devices, then go with Computrace Complete, as it gives you a single point of
administration.

Yes, what you ask is possible, IF you can get cooperation from the ISP and
governmental authorities who have jurisdiction, and IF you can obtain the IP
address of the device.

My question is, how on earth would you get the IP without a product such as.
Computrace (which permanently hooks into the BIOS), especially if the hard
drive is obliterated?
