Even if you create an IT Policy on the BES for that kind of auditing it can, at best, only email parts of the conversation to a designated mailbox. It pulls this from the target device in the background.
For instance: "last name, first","PIN","email address","Outgoing","PIN","","","Last,First PIN","<$RemoveOnDelivery,SuppressSaveInSentItems> BLACKBERRYMESSENGERINVITESTAGE2","-----xxx65532;---- This is far from "reading" BBM/PIN's We should probably note at this point what version of BES we're dealing with. I'm using 4.1.6.10 We're testing BES 5 now, but I still haven't found anything that gives what I'd condifer true PIN/BBM auditing. - WJR On Fri, Mar 4, 2011 at 13:34, David Mazzaccaro < [email protected]> wrote: > This is not 100% true. > > BBM’s (and text messages) CAN be read by IT. > > Just turn on logging on the BES. > > > > > > > > *From:* Steve Ens [mailto:[email protected]] > *Sent:* Friday, March 04, 2011 12:00 PM > *To:* NT System Admin Issues > *Subject:* Blackberry Messenger > > > > Just wondering what the general consensus here is with Blackberry > Messenger.
