Don't you think you should have checcked that option before bringing it to the
list?

Test the memory with memtest on a bootable cd, though rebooting the server
every 2-3 days sounds like a software program with a memory leak.

Rule #1 Develop a plan.
Rule #2 Follow the plan.

One other option I'm thinking of is that I may be running low on disk space on
the C:\ drive. I'm trying to free up a few hundred megs more to bring it up to
2 gigs free.

Well, OpenManage reports no problems on any hardware... so I'm pretty much
stuck figuring it has to be something software-related...

Instead of blindly looking at the problem develop a method..

My method if the logs reveal nothing would be
Check the fans and heatsink if ok
Test memory if ok
Test the Harddrives if hardware is ok then you've a software problem.

I've got a Dell Poweredge 2900 that keeps locking up for no apparent reason
that I can find. Nothing in the event logs...just the logs stop at a certain
point. If I reboot the server on a regular basis (2 or 3 times per week)
it's all good, but I hate to do that. I'd like to find out what's causing
this problem. Any suggestions where to start since there appears to be
nothing in the event logs?

Server is Windows 2003 and is one of our DCs.
