Subject: Change management

What are you folks doing for change management? Internally, we use our
tracking system to plan and document system changes to our various systems.

We work with an integrator for our Great Plains system, and I need to bring
them into this, and the current system won't work well. Change to us means:
system updates (security), new feature/programs, code updates (new
script/module updates, not security), and a few categories that escape me now.

I need some sort of work-flow whereby there is visibility of the entire
process, and any of the relevant parties can see where we are in the process.
At some point I'll have this as part of our SharePoint portal, but we are still
in the design phase of SharePoint and that will last a while.

So I have the processes, but not the method to track. Suggestions? Excel
forms, third-party product? Parchment paper and quill?

Thanks,
Tom
