Right, the hard disk is about 8GB. The last time i tried an boot up with mklinux. Worked the first boot and worked during the install. But, and i still dunno why, it didnt boot anymore. I think debian will be my choice. I heared of a lot of other distributions like Ubuntu or Gentoo but maybe i'am a bit "Old World". Let me step into your wrotes. So you say that the nubus kernel does not work on this powerpc. So the easiest way here would may be just take another kernel and use miboot.
