Just tried this on my machine and seems to work fine, though I'm working
on a machine with Visual Studio etc installed...
Maybe it's something to do with that?

That is strange. We have two developers working on Win 7 (I am one of
them) and both of us are working on Windows 7 64bit. The setup runs
absolutely fine here.
What version of Windows are you using (version, type [home, premium,
etc] and what service pack)?
