Hi,

The local file cache won't update simply by playing through the read node. You need to manually select Cache->Local File Cache->Update All from the main menu.

You should then see the files in your local cache path.

Hope that helps,

Peter.

Did you set your "local file auto-cache" to the path on the server where all your files are? Also you need to goto the Cache menu on the top bar and "cache all read nodes". Then it will precede to copy everything to your local machine.

I would look to use the new local cache feature in 6.3 instead of
    the diskcache node.

    Just tested it:
    * readnode put on cache localy always
    * preferences: local file auto-cache path set

I let play the readnode but there were no files cached under the
    defined path...

generally i m not very happy with our nuke 6.3v2 but we cant
    update atm.
seems to be pretty buggy ...
