hello everyone..anyone,

I loved the Nuke color masterclass that CMI put out recently but along with
helping understand all of this more in depth Ive come across something I cant
figure out about colorspace conversion.

When using log or Alexa Clog footage in nuke we sometimes have to output
different files for CG in Linear or SRGB colorspace. I have found that when
doing this it clips all the values at 0 and 1 and it doesnt matter what file
type for if its 8bit, 10 bit, 16 or even 32 bit float. I would assume it could
make these values linear and keep everything in the high end.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way these colorspaces work?
Right now we allow everything to go out clipped for animation and lighting but
we now keep a full Clog in and Clog out pipeline in comp.
