Yep - did all of that - was hoping it would do the trick

but once finished you run something like query device script and thats when 
nothing happens - nothing detected.

I think perhaps i shouldn’t have used org edgers prior……..   anyway it still 
seems an overly complicated way of going forwards as the nvidia driver which 
ships with Mint should work fine  - right?
