Cool thread!
I have thrown all suggestions into an extra page here for future reference:

Wow thanks for all the suggestions! Already started with the art and
science book! Hopefully will go through all of these little by little!

I can recommend the book - Mathematics For Computer
Graphics
by John Vince
ISBN 978-1-84996-022-9
Covers all the main stuff.
Algebra, trig, vectors, transforms, interpolation,
curves, geometric algebra etc - and relates it all to 2d
and 3d imagery

I can recommend the videos that MIT have put online as

good start.

Brinkman and Wright's books are great.
There's also an old FXPHD course for mathematics.
Maybe they offer it from the vault.

You can't go wrong with the two books Ron
recommends.
Art&Science is easy to understand and
starts with the very basics (I only ever
read the first edition but I assume the
structure hasn't changed).
Once you finish that one, Steve Wright's
book is an excellent follow up to go deeper
into the geek side of things. Even if you
look it up on a per-need basis rather than
read it front to back.
After those two books you will realise
compositing is nothing but applied high
school maths :-D

What level are we talking about?
To get started I'm always recommend The
Art and Science of Digital Compositing by
Ron Brinkmann and Digital Compositing for
Film and Video by Steven Wright. They
both cover everything, but from two
different angles. Both have a fair amount
of math in them.

Hello!
I'm looking for a good compositing
book that goes into math for

able to recommend anything?
