This is missing the '-u root' option. We need that, to rule out permissions problems.
Seems to me it's the usual problem with USB quirks in FreeBSD. I'm not a FreeBSD user so I can only guess.
I agree. I'm not a FreeBSD user either, but since the VID:PID should be supported, it's either that or a permissions problem.
