Yes, I could reproduce the errors. It turned out that the UPS was returning an EPIPE error, indicating it couldn't complete a request. This in itself is a (temporary) error condition from the UPS (there is nothing we can do to prevent that). But what happened previously, is that the driver dropped the connection an it reconnected. That isn't necessary, it is sufficient to just retry. So you'll probably still see the occasional error from this UPS, it is just handled much better by the driver.
