nwam-rc1 x86
system has
4xhme interfaces
1xnge interface
only hme0 and nge0 are physically connected.
Status on login (after restarting nwam) - location automatic
- icon shows green - indicating all interfaces are connected.
expect to see orange - indicating one or more interfaces are not connected.
network preferences shows hme0 and nge0 connected, it does not list any entries
for hme1,hme2 or hme3.
- physically disconnect hme0 interface, icon correctly shows orange indicating
one or more interfaces are disconected. However network preferences show
connection status
does not display any information for hme0. User should expect to see hme0
listed with a disconnectd status.
- physically disconnect nge0 interface, icon goes to green, expect it to go to
red. switches to NoNet location. Network preferences dialog does not list any
interfaces for the system, user should expect to see all interfaces listed in a
disconnected state.
