I have been fighting a similar problem with my Linksys router. It works
fine for a while, then the wireless service dies for no apparent reason.
The problem started when I moved it and the cable modem to another room so I
could attach the XBox without running cable all over the place.

In trying to correct the problem, I've powered down the router and the modem
and replaced all the cables. The only thing that seems to work is resetting
the router to factory default then rebooting everything. Does anyone have
any idea why this would happen, or if there is perhaps something wrong with
the darned thing?
I install and maintain a lot of home and small business networks. Linksys USED to be my choice for this type of equipment, but recently I've been noticing a lot of failures and equipment that had to be returned to Linksys. I've since been using more SMC for the low end consumer models, and Lucent for the enterprise level with no problems so far.

Make sure you have the latest firmware installed for any Linksys product you are using. If the problem continues, do a RMA with them.
