I agree it would be great to push one solution, in fact, I mentioned that
URL in my e-mail.  I think most folks are more used to the 'channel'
method of conversations rather then using avatars, at least tech folks
seem to be, which I would guess are a majority of wireless-interested
folks.  The nycwchat does look cool; I would like to see a channel history
ala IRC style and such when they come back to 'active' mode so they can
keep up with what folks are talking about.  So far with
nycwireless.net/chat, it looks like messages pop up and go away, not
keeping a history of them -- then again, I have only explored the
nycwireless.net/chat for a short time.  Another issue, I can't seem to get
it to work in Mozilla/Firebird in either Windows or Linux; anyone have it
working?
