Verizon Offering Naked DSL (to a few...)
Hello All,

This is interesting. The NY Times reported today

that Verizon is offering Naked DSL to existing DSL customers IF you live in the
Northeast, you move your existing telephone service to an internet based phone
vendor such as Vonage (???!!!???!!??)What? Yes, the article stated Vonage. I
almost dropped the paper. Is this a mistake? Why would Verizon want users to
switch over to a competitor? I don't get it unless Vonage or internet based
vendors are getting referral fees or this is some regulatory setup.... any
ideas?

-Ben
