Hi Doug, Thanks for clarifying. IN the past I *have* written cover letters, but I'm finding them of such low quality when I read them that it just doesn't seem worth the applicants time.
In my experience cover letters seem more of a tool for recruitment snakes, sorry *consultants* to fill out their personality profiles without ever actually meeting you. I take the client work think into account, but few people clearly outline the requirements so it makes them look bad when the code is bad (or just awful) Also, when the code on your own personal site is bad (or your site is broken) - that's not a good look at all Perhaps I should add Point #7 for employers: "If your company wants to employ Superman/woman, make sure they can pay his / her salary" :) Paul --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ NZ PHP Users Group: http://groups.google.com/group/nzphpug To post, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
