Ok, new thread because it was heading right OT in the other thread... I had a great chat with VF about getting data out of UG meetings.
I've expressed that I'd love to see a day where everyone who can't make a meeting can listen to it online and eventually even watch it live without it being a total head spin to make happen. VF sponsor sport and music, so helping anything else isn't easy and isn't quick... but I didn't get a NO. Interestingly, helping out the nzphpug fits in with a bunch of stuff they're currently doing. They use php based stuff on their web site. Their forums are taking off like a rocket and they're getting the message about leveraging community support. http://forum.vodafone.co.nz/index.php?act=idx I made a bunch of suggestions that PB really liked and was willing to follow forward with. For this not to be a complete waste of time we need to find a win, win, win solution that really benefits the whole community. PB and I are going to bounce some ideas about and report back. I'd like comments and your support voiced.
