Yes, I totally agree. Once the venture is completed the money for the last
progress payment gets usually earmarked for throwing it away on silly
advertising.

My suggestion to solve this particular problem is to use full upfront
payment. Usually you can give a discount for this - like 10% off. This can
be used for all projects, they run soo much smoother, if the money is
already in the bank.
