Running a mail server is pretty simple: you just need a dedicated server
(virtual or real). Setting it up isn't very hard either if you have unix
skills, but of course at 25,000 volume you better make sure you do it
right.

With that volume you also better make sure you have automatic
unsubscribe for bounces, most ISPs will brand you as a spammer if you
send to many emails to bad addresses.

Running it from home will get your email branded with extra spam points,
some ISPs will even refuse your email, as your email is from a dynamic
IP address (probably) and from a home broadband connection.


So unless you have access to talent, you're probably better off paying
the money. 25.000 emails is a serious amount, and if you do it wrong,
hardly anyone of them will arrive I will bet you.
