I used to buy that argument too, but someone (perhaps on this list) pointed me to a comparison article that changed my thinking a lot. One of my concerns was free apps, but there's nothing I used on windows that I can't get for Mac so far... I can quite honestly say I'm very happy with my purchase (happier than I thought I'd be) and have no plans to return to a windows machine any time soon.
