Here is a quite an expensive option:

13" Sony Vaio. It is very light, 1.48 kg with battery, quite powerful
and really well put together laptop.

The reason i mention it is that while it is expensive ($2900 - $3000)
it is still a very good deal as Sony and some other suppliers
like Noel Leeming are selling remaining stock at this old exchange
rate price and all new ones (minor releases)
come at new price which is around $4500.
