That's exactly what I do too - works very well. Timeanddate.com keeps track of daylight savings changes so I've never had a problem with meeting times during daylight savings transitions. Some more tips I use for timezone conversion. 1) If you're running thunderbird for email you can install the FoxClocks plugin which adds a list of cities with the current time at the bottom of thunderbird. I modify those cities to show the main timezones I deal with instead so at a glance I can tell it's 7:41pm in Phoenix MST, or 9:41pm in New York EST for example. 2) I have predefined links saved to my browser home page that allows me to jump immediately to a meeting planner at time and date.com rather than having to manually go to the site and select the cities. So for example I have a link called "Meeting Planner - Auckland/New York/EST" which jumps immediately to: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingtime.html?p1=22&p2=179 3) Whenever I enter meeting times in Thunderbird I always list both timezones in the meeting title just to be sure I get it right i.e.: Meeting with John Doe, Wed 9am NZT / Tue 3pm EST -- NZ PHP Users Group: http://groups.google.com/group/nzphpug To post, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe, send email to [email protected]
