Hmmm. To provide a better answer to your specific question I use: 2pm NZT / 8pm EST Clients always know their own timezone. When-ever I'm sending emails I always be sure to specify what time I'm referring to: "I'll get to that task tomorrow morning at 9am (my time)" ...or... "Are you free to meet tomorrow at 5pm (your time - EST)?". I've discovered a lot of Americans have trouble converting their local times to NZT which sometimes resulted in phone calls in the middle of the night (arrrgh).
