Well since I work in a company which attempts much less than this on a
daily basis I can tell you its not just simple numbers, we have
reasonable difficulty with 100Mb,
It seems to be more time limited, so if you can pump 1gb thru in less
than 10 mins you should be fine, but otherwise there are things that
will trip it up

Neven, how long does it take to push 1GB over your broadband these
days? (a few minutes) And how long over a 10Gb network? (1s) And ever
had a look at the Range HTTP header?
I would say the chances are a bit more than slim given so many people
do it successfully every day...
