I should have pointed out that the 100 sites that I'm responsible for
are fairly small, most consists of 10 or so pages and get about 50
visitors a day.  Total disk space is about 1.5GB, so not very
demanding.

At the moment all these sites are being hosted by iServe (now owned by
Orcon, and I haven't been very impressed at how the service has taken
a huge dive since the take-over).  I bought a life-time hosting
package from iServe several years ago, which cost me a couple of
thousand $$$'s but means I don't have to pay them any more ever
again.  I'm now well past the break-even point on that investment.

I'll definitely give EC2 a go with just a small site, maybe my
personal site or just a test site, just to dip my toes in the water
and get a handle on how it all works.
