Thanks for all the replies, guys! I should have pointed out that the 100 sites that I'm responsible for are fairly small, most consists of 10 or so pages and get about 50 visitors a day. Total disk space is about 1.5GB, so not very demanding.
At the moment all these sites are being hosted by iServe (now owned by Orcon, and I haven't been very impressed at how the service has taken a huge dive since the take-over). I bought a life-time hosting package from iServe several years ago, which cost me a couple of thousand $$$'s but means I don't have to pay them any more ever again. I'm now well past the break-even point on that investment. I'll definitely give EC2 a go with just a small site, maybe my personal site or just a test site, just to dip my toes in the water and get a handle on how it all works. -- NZ PHP Users Group: http://groups.google.com/group/nzphpug To post, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe, send email to [email protected]
