Hey guys

Been following this list for a few years now, though I think my last post was a couple of years back -- moved away from PHP to Ruby ;)

I am interested to know what you guys use for time-tracking and invoicing customers, and what you like about the respective product or approach?

We've built a time-tracking app which hooks up with Xero, making it super easy to send your invoices through. We also do PDF/email invoicing.

We're based in Wellington. If you have time, check us out at http://www.minutedock.com <http://www.minutedock.com/> let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions, etc.

Oh, and if you do decide to sign-up, give me an email and we'll chuck you a 15% lifetime discount :)

Hi Jared,

I read the first two sentences of your email and hit reply to suggest MinuteDock.

Then I read the rest of your email and realised you *are* MinuteDock :)

For anyone else reading I can very, very highly recommend it.

It's awesome - so easy and fast to use.

The natural language recording of tasks makes things extremely fast and intuitive:

"@client #emails Replying to emails (last tuesday) for 1.4 hours"

Where @client is the shortcode for the client and #emails is the shortcode for the task being worked on. It saves a lot of time and mouse clicks compared to having to seach and select clients, tasks and dates in traditional time tracking software.

The reporting is awesome - lots of great detail and flexibility, pretty graphs to wow the appropriate clients / associates.

Easily set goals for targets such as "At least 25 billable hours this month for Client ABC".

Or set time budgets such as "Maximum of 10 hours time this week on '#design' for Client Foo".

Enable client view links for clients so they can log in and see their timesheet (read only) at any time.

I can't wait for upcoming features such as PDF export of draft invoices and reports hint hint hint. :)
