My experience with eway wasn't great, but that was a few years ago and
it may not be fair to hold a grudge that long.
I had 2 issues while connecting up a Concrete 5 website. Firstly there
was a typo or error in the eway API documentation which wasted a good
bit of time at my end. That was a bit frustrating. Secondly, there was
some issue with a browser security warning popping up in Firefox when
redirecting from eWay back to the merchant website. I forget the details
of the issue, but I raised this with the support team and proposed a
solid workaround they could implement, but they just weren't interested.
They told me I should get a SSL cert for the merchant website, and I
pointed out that the whole point of using a hosted gateway (among other
reasons of course) is so that you don't have to get a SSL cert.
Like I said - I don't want to hold a grudge and maybe all this is fixed
now. But you did ask for experiences with eway and that was mine.
Harvey.

Eway and Flo2Cash are the top two on my hit list at present.
Have you had any experience with Eway? Their sales guys had been
calling me every six months (on request) but I was put off them a
little as when I called their Auckland number I got a VoIP connection
to someone in Australia. This was a couple of years ago though.
