Hi, I'd like to backport OAK-4518 to maintenance branches 1.4 and older. Stale entries in the docChildrenCache can cause inconsistencies in the repository. As mentioned in the issue data from test and production systems show a low hit rate on this cache and disabling the cache does not show significant changes in oak-benchmark results. Impact on performance is therefore low.
