Confirmed on clean trunk `f80bf24b86` with Java 17 and all Oak dependencies built from that checkout. Repeating the two existing tests on SegmentTar and MongoDB produced **12 failures in 40 executions**, including the exact CI error with both child paths missing. No delays or property overrides were injected. With this PR’s fix and the same trunk dependencies, **all 40 executions passed**. Four ordinary full-class runs passed on trunk, confirming the timing-dependent nature of this existing test-isolation race.
