You might try a three wheel recumbent.

Anyone tried a recumbent bike in Winter? I saw a fellow riding one (on the
sidewalk....grrrr) today. Is your centre of gravity lower on a recumbent,
and
therefore providing more stability? I've never tried one, but my general
impression
is they would not be as good as a regular bike because it is harder to shift
your
weight to help keep your balance. Are the smaller tires an advantage?

I have a Norco Kokanee mountain bike that I think I might try this winter.
