Tuesday night tours leave McDonalds Billing Bridge at 5:30 PM the month of May then 6:00 PM June, July, August, 5:30 PM September.
Sir James's computer is up and cycling again with all files intact. 21 ST May we had 12 to 14 cyclist who did the normal OBC route to Manotick, with the faster group doing a extra 10 Km loop up Century Road and back to Manotick. All went well with no problems other than the weather. 28 TH May in SUNNY, WARM weather 22 cyclist did a almost all bike path route into Gatineau Park. We took the bike path from Billings Bridge to the old City Hall. then crossed the MacDonald Cartier Bridge on the bike path (sidewalk), then took the Bike path under the Lady Aberdeen Bridge crossing Boul. De La Cite des Jeunes. at the fork in the bike path we turned South to Promenade De La Gatineau were we used the road to Bould. Tache. the Slower group passed the faster group at on point and caught up to them at least three times once at the Dairy Queen were we were going to take refreshments but the line-ups were so long that we choose to carry on. We crossed back into Ottawa at the Chadiere Bridge and used Preston and Queen Elizabeth Driveway and Bank St. to return to Billings Bridge. As this is a very hilly route we had to stop a few times to allow cyclist to catch up. and the only fault that I noticed is that after passing the faster group in the park they again took the lead passing us at a speed that I would consider a little fast for a bike path.were you never know what is around a corner. The OBC package was missing from Mcdonalds and the two non members who paid and signed waivers(I had some to replenish the package) names have been given to Rosmarie so that if they join OBC they will be believed when they say they had already paid X # of dollars.
