Avery, I agree with your assessment of group rides on recreational trails. Particularly the popular ones. I had a group of nine on the cycle path to Aylmer (LeBreton Flats, Champlain Bridge, Aylmer) on Tuesday night and I have to agree with you. There was much to much recreational traffic, rollerbladers in particular, making the cycling risky to cyclists and others. I kept the pace down to below 20 kmph and we and broke to group into subgroups of three.
