Dear Strubens Rd Resident, Sorry to hear about your kitty. We should be on the look out for anyone who looks like he is hiding a pellet gun and report it, I personally would like to give him a taste of his own medicine.

I just got this email from a neighbour. The road is Strubensroad. Some idiot is shooting at cats. Quoted in: Dear friends and neighbours Our cat was shot with a pellet gun on Wednesday morning and the pellet lodged in her spine. She has lost the use of one hind leg and we don’t know her chances of recovery. The xray showed two other pellets which were much older; the entry wounds are no longer visible. This is not the first time – we had a dog which died about four years ago and xrays showed about five pellets of which we were not aware. (The pellets didn’t kill him but we were very surprised to see them.) We write to alert you to this so that people who keep pets in this neighbourhood should watch them for such injuries. I think there is also a risk to people – adults and children. If you saw anything on Wednesday, or if you know about the people or person to speak to me. We have spoken to the SPCA and will lay a charge with the police and any information would be useful. This is not a spontaneous act or harmless prank but continual, deliberate acts of cruelty, for more than four years. I know of our little cat who has been crippled by this but we don’t know how many other cats, dogs or birds have been hurt or killed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No virus found in this incoming message.
