[obsnw] Obs Armed response payment method notice

This is not a message about crime, but  warning for OAR  members to be alert about their payment method changing-to avoid  potential problems/crime. I just received a letter from OAR that said they plan to change the payment methods of peole who pay cash or electronically, to debit orders. They attach an unsigned contract with debit order instructions, but do not refer to or ask for my permission or indicate that I would need to sign the contract to give permission. I called the office and was told it did not apply ot me since I was making quarterly via electronic transfer! She acknowledged she could not change my payment method to debit order without my permission, but I was concerned, given a history of overcharging in the past which resulted in my cancelling the debit order. I know many of you think that the diehards who still stick with OAR are plain mad and deserve to be defrauded, but the other side of the coin is that I have had very good armed response service from them over the years (reliable and quick response time), so I have been sticking with the devil I know, warts and all! Having said that, what other company has a presence in Obs,  other than ADT? I would like to consider my options.
