'Warning' or no warning, it is absolutely unacceptable for a parent to expect the neighbours to tolerate a loud party starting at midnight on a weekday. The letter totally underplayed the extent of the party. The parents must surely have known that sound equipment was going to be used, and a large number of people invited. It was not just a private little party at a private house.
