The Western Cape Cape Liquor Board needs to be held accountable for their contribution to the rampant abuse of alcohol in Observatory. May I suggest that the OCA, ONW, OBSID, SAPS, Metro Police, City of Cape Town and the Premier of the Western Cape, meet with this "rubber stamp" and lay down the law regarding liquor licences. This community needs to be informed and involved in these decisions, and should have the right to veto any liquor license application. The biggest stakeholders are the community, and their collective interests far outweigh any troublesome liquor license. Brian Gray.
