Well done and thank you for all the good work you do,
As always do take care, David David Raphael 072 065 7223 Chairperson OBS NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Bev Sent: 09 October 2010 18:34 To: The Observatory Neighbourhood watch Subject: [obsnw] VS catches up with Coloured guy messing with cars in Observatory - Robins Rd - Sat 9 Oct 2010 I heard a car door slam outside my place (in Robins) at about 3.50 pm today. Knowing which cars were parked outside and being curious, I immediately looked out.....to see a slim, medium-height, Coloured chap with a blue T-shirt, checking out the interior of my car before walking off. I noticed the way his hair had been cut. I presumed it had to have been my car he had tampered with ? I followed him on foot for some distance calling on the 2-way radio for VS to respond. They caught up with him as he turned into and up Station Rd from Arnold. Gave his name as Marwaan Williams (spelling?) of No.X, Lwr Main Rd (. can't recall the number he gave). Shortly after he was taken to the SAPS for finger-printing, I learned from a bystander that he was the guy who had "....attempted to gain access to a car parked in Station Rd using a screw-driver about 4 weeks ago". Unfortunately the owner of the car did not want to press charges against him. Another bystander also recognised him, saying: "I'm glad you got that guy; he's from Salt River and gets up to 'bad stuff' around Obs all the time." A VS patroller at the scene recognised him as well, saying that he had also seen him checking out cars in Obs. So there's a lot of smoke here.... Grateful thanks to CD-2 (who was there for me) and to Vetus Schola patrollers who dealt with the situation very efficiently on catching up with the guy. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group.
