At 7:30 this evening there is man in Neath Road who has been savagely beating his Jack Russell puppy with a golf club. After hearing terrible noises and lots of very loud bangs I climbed my ladder and look over to witness him swinging a wooden golf club full power hitting the creature. The screams of the dog have been appalling for weeks and this evening it sounded like he was killing it - I finally managed to catch him.
I shouted at him to stop - and startled him but he tried repeatedly to hit me in head while I was up poking my head over - i had to keep ducking while he swore and threatened me. All the neighbours from the immediate vicinity came out of the back of their houses in Oxford - they'd heard his little came of golf hitting the ball to against his gate (in a 5 square meter yard) and also the dog. As a description, the guy is about late 20s, coloured with braided hair and a short beard. and a very very bad attitude. We've heard this pup wimpering for weeks - sometimes poking its nose under the gate - I know that yard from the previous tenants - and it's too small for an animal. We called Const. Thokolo. We're trying the SBCA - does anyone have an emergency number for them?? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group.
