I am rather getting very worried regarding the amount of emails
reporting crime, such as this one and the others of late.
We can ask VS to improve their rounds and am sure it has been done
already.
Believe it or not, Observatory is tying by one crime more than
Woodstock, lower for the second least crime in the Woodstock
Precinct.
For a few years Obs has been the worst of the four sectors for crime!
Again this month, by comparing to last year this time, our crime in
Obs is much less. thanks to VS, SAPS and all else.
Salt River's crime is the lowest, and has been so for a long time.
However, many of the perpetrators caught in Observatory is found,
supposedly, to hail from Salt River.
But while we are happily sitting in our homes minding our own
business
someone else is running away with it, unnoticed.
Just before reading your email, my thought was, to get out there and
just go and do a patrol. But like all of us, I too say I am too busy
right now. And so, crime goes on unnoticed and unchallenged.
Like noted in an email or two before, we (ONW) will have to gear up
ourselves again and get out there. But on behalf of ONW I say, not
just the few of us as stalwarts, how about Observatory in mass
rising up!

PS: I just had communication form our SAPS via our ONW radio:
Cons Mark Berry, our SAPS Obs Area Manager doing a bit of night
shift,
just arrested someone and busy booking him at the CSC.
So is SW18 our roaming Police vehicle members, also arrested someone
just recently and booking the case now.
Just two nights ago, Mr Koopman form VS busted a drug deal or two via
spot checks and made an important arrest.
Well done to them!

clearly do not feel their presence and are smooth about entering and
