Hi Rosemary,

Thanks for raising this issue. We were approached by the Friends of
Liesbeek who pulled together forces with City and some OBSID environment
committee members to clean up the Liesbeek area this past weekend. There
are apparently several structures. We will follow due process and contact
the relevant field/social workers and the DPU (Displaced People's Unit).

It has been proposed for the new centre in Franklin Street to be approached
to consider these individuals, should they wish to move off the streets. We
will also ask our fieldworker to comment also as he has knowledge of most
of the homeless who live in our area.

Best,
Ancois
