After 7 months of Red-Tape between our lawyers and the WC Liq Board we decided to tweet Helen Zille and her office made the board give immediate attention to our application. The licence was issued within 2 working days. After objections lodged against the issuing of a license by an orchestrated group of local disgruntled community members, the board found that it is definitely not “purely residential” as alleged by the objectors and having considered the content of their misrepresented replication, as well as all other factors brought to the Board’s attention by either the applicant, the applicant’s attorney, the DPO and/or the objectors, the Board considered it to be in the public interest to grant the license. We hope that this will put an end to the vendetta by these disgruntled few and that the community will keep on supporting us as they have been since our opening on 24 Feb.
