It's now the 4th day since this has been reported, and the earth moving
is still going on. The consensus seems to be that this is illegal. Why
the delay? How can it take four days to find out whether it's permitted
or not? If the River Club can't present evidence on request that the
works are legal, then they need to immediately stop.
Who is the "manager for the area" mentioned below?

Late this afternoon I was alerted to some earth moving activties
on the banks of the Liesbeeck River near the River Club. I do not
know what this is about nor whether it is authorised works or
not. I did however report this to the Director: Environmental
Resource Management who has asked the manager for the area to
investigate and intervene. I will post more information when I
have it.
