Concerning the ATM robbery last night, the young Italian female victim - Anna, conveyed her appreciation to all that assisted her yesterday especially the gentleman that tried to apprehend the robbers. The injury to her eye was apparently not too bad, however, she will only know on Monday whether the rest of her banking account is still intact or not and woould have opned a case with SAPS.
Re Alisons & Rosemary's comments - I saw SAPS patrol vans and unmarked SAPS vehicles quite often move up and down our streets around Scott road these past two evenings and days. I assume, from past experience, that crime must then somehow be high in Obs, thus their extra patrolling activity. Merely a half hour ago at 10 pm I saw an unmarked vehicle stop alongside two Colored young males, had them stretch out their arms on a wall and frisked them down thoroughly, checked their story of being around in the hoods and then let them proceed on their way, and quite entertaining to see happening. I dare say, a job well done by SAPS, pity for the Coloured lads, but that could just as well have been me or you the SAPS have stopped to frisk, and rather be frisked than not, but alas, others may have objected. Under the circumstances, that's what SAPS must do and sure hope they will keep it up for a good while still as too much crime is happening around the Obs woods.
