The taxi issue has not abated anywhere in Obz. Earlier this week
two taxis drove through Cook St from Rochester. One nearly ran me
down! Another large truck also drove down Cook from Rochester -
squeezing through the narrow space left for driving in this very
narrow road.
On Thursday afternoon last week, I was on the corner of Polo &
Wembley. It was peak traffic time & during the say 10 minutes I
was there at least 20 cars turned into Wembley from Rochester &
crossed Polo. Not sure where they went from there.
I have seen No Entry signs for trucks & taxis in other residential
areas. Can we get the same? I believe we have to shout louder to
resolve this problem. The raid on taxis a week or two ago has
obviously not made much of a difference to the delinquent drivers'
behaviour.
