There was an attempt to steal another neighbour's bike this weekend. The bike is kept on his property behind a locked gate. He woke up with his dog barking and when he looked outside he found to coloured men in his garden trying to get the bike out. As it was quite dark (most of the street is quite dark), he couldn't give a clear description of the men. When he shouted at them, they were obnoxious and arrogant and basically showing they have the upper hand anyway. Strangely enough both of us heard what sounded like Bev's red scooter that was stolen recently nearby. I do not think this incident has been reported to SAPS or OBSID and don't think the owner has any intention of doing so. I am recording it here for stats.
